This Week at Stamp and Scrapbook Madness

This week's newsletter is coming out a little early as we have some exciting news regarding the shop that we will be able to share later in the week. So I thought it best that I cover off the newsletter a little early.

NEW IN STORE

We were all excited last week when some of the new Nestabilities shapes from Spellbinders arrived in the shop. These shapes have been some of our most requested products and are sure to move very quickly.

 

FRIDAY NIGHT CROP

Our Friday night crop is on this  Friday from 6pm onwards. For $5 You get to scrap or craft to your heart's content and use of all our tools and stamps as well. This is a perfect opportunity to finish off those Christmas cards or projects, or even just get caught up on your album. Bookings are essential.

CLASS UPDATES

Tuesday Night Class
Our night class is on tomorrow night and features the Glimmer and Shimmer layout. Glimmermist has been one of 2008's most popular products and this class shows you the variety of different ways you can use it to create your own unique look.

NEW CLASS - SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER.
As we are still waiting on the Slice to arrive we have had to again change the class for this Saturday. As we have had so many requests for some more decorations we have created a class of quick and easy Christmas decorations as well as a simple and speedy gift bag. Please see the description and pictures below.The Slice class will be re-scheduled as soon as possible.

Wednesday 3 December 10am-12pm Creative Cuttlebug

Discover how to get more out of the Cuttlebug with fun and innovative class. We will use a variety of different products and mediums with the Cuttlebug to show you versatile it really is and how easy it is to create three unique yet simple cards.

 

Thursday  4 December 10am-12pm Glimmer and Shimmer

Bring some sparkle to your page with is fun layout featuring one of our most popular products - Glimmermist. You will learn a range of different techniques to get a variety of different effects and finish with a truly unique page that really shines.

 

Friday 5 December 10am-12pm Christmas Tags

Give your gifts a little wow factor with these beautiful tags. These four tags showcase a variety of different tag styles with ideas and techniques to give you plenty of inspiration for your gifts this year.

 

Saturday 6 December 10am-12pm Scrapbooking with Stitches.

Never even picked up a needle? Well don't worry this is the stitching class for you. With the help of some templates we can all achieve a fantastic handstitched effect on our page with very little stress or fuss.

 

Saturday 6 December 1pm-3pm Deck the Halls!!!

This is a new class featuring some popular Christmas decorations. All made from patterned paper and cardstock we show you how you can create your own decorations in the colours and styles of your choice. Also included in the class is a SUPER easy and SUPER quick gift bag for Christmas treats that you can create yourself in only minutes!!

This Week at Stamp and Scrapbook Madness

Things are busy in the store at the moment. We have plenty of new stock still arriving and lots of Christmas idea and inspiration to get your cards, decor and gifts sorted.

 

New In-store

We have had a new range of the VERY popular Paper Tole stack and twist style papers arrive in store. Many of these are die cut which make them super easy to put together. We have a range of striking and different designs to suit all ages as well as some great male themed designs too.

If you would like to give these a go but don't know where to start Tina has a Paper Tole - Twist and Stack class on this week that will get you underway in no time.

Back in stock are the Coredinations 6.5 x 4.5 packs. These packs of 80 of the popular coloured core cardstock sheets are finally back in stock, other recent arrivals include some new border punches from Fiskars as well as more circle scallop punches from EK Success.

 

Friday Night Crop Friday 5 December

Our next Friday Night Crop is on Next Friday Night 5 December. Come along for a fun filled evening with plenty of time and space to scrap and craft. Cost is $5pp including use of all our tools. Bookings essential.

The Slice - UPDATE

We are still awaiting our shipment of the new Slice machine from Making Memories. We have been advised that we can expect them next week sometime but at this stage do not know which day. As a result we have had to re-schedule our Slice and Simple Scrapbooking Classes. We will let you know as soon as possible when their new dates will be. In the meantime we have filled the gaps with some of our most popular current classes. Further information is below in the "This week's Classes" section.

Cuttlebug Promotion  - $129 with fabulous bonuses!

We have a fantastic Cuttlebug promotion available until the end of the year. For $129 you get a Cuttlebug and a set of either "Flowers" or "Ornamentals" dies AND a pack of Coredinations cardstock. This Week's Classes

 

Friday 28 November 10am-12pm Twist and Stack - Paper Tole

The new trend in paper tole is to stack and twist. This modern and fresh take on a classic card making style is simple and fun to create and in this class Tina shows you how to take a simple design and perfectly complement it with your card. All paper tole sheets are provided and  you will have extras to take and create with at home. Cost $25 including paper tole sheets - Please bring double sided foam tape and scissors.

  

 

Saturday 29 November 10-12am Calendar /Layout Class

Create a fabulous calendar to give away as a gift this Christmas - or even better finally make something to keep for yourself! Whilst this class was designed with a calendar in mind you can also complete the exact same layout as a regular 12 x 12 page. We use a range of different techniques in this class including gridwork and using "Stamp and Bond" for the perfect flocking results. You can create a calendar or layout on any theme you choose with any paper that suits. Cost $16 including calendar or $12 without.

 

Saturday 29 November 1pm-3pm Christmas Tag Class

Create 4 Christmas tags and mini cards in this fun and easy class. We focus on creating interesting shapes and easy stamping and embellishment techniques that will give you a range of tags that will be the perfect complement to  any gift this Christmas.

 

 

  

 

NEXT WEEK - Tuesday Night Class 7pm-9pm Glimmer and Shimmer

This class should have been the Slice and Simple Class, which has had to be delayed whilst we wait for our Slice to arrive. Instead we are running the Glimmer and Shimmer class. Create your own patterns and colours using the hottest new product - Glimmermist. This incredibly versatile product can be used in a variety of ways. In this clever layout you get a chance to try it for yourself to create custom backgrounds, papers and embellishments.

This beautiful layout by Jolene is full of sparkle and shine. Glimmermist has been one of the most popular new products on the market this year and in this layout you will learn plenty of new and different techniques and effects you can achieve with this versatile product.

Thursday 20 November Scrapbooking with Stitches 10am-12pm

Try your hand at stitching on your layouts using our easy to use templates. No sewing skills are necessary to achieve this wonderful handcrafted effect which is truly easier than it looks.

Friday 21 November - Create with Cuttlebug Cards 10am-12pm

Get creative with the Cuttlebug with these three cards. Discover different techniques to get more out of your machine and some of the different mediums and products you can use.

Saturday 22 November - Gift Album 10am-12pm

In this class we create a gorgeous mini album using the Kaisercraft series. Jolene shows you how to cover,embellish and lay-out your album and gives you lots of handy techniques and tips. You can also style this album with a birthday theme or decorate the pages and leave blank spots to fill in with your photos later. This book makes a great gift or a fabulous memento. Saturday 22 November - Noddle Box Gifts 1pm-3pm

As we are unable to run our parchment class this Saturday we have created a brand new class instead. In this class you will create three tags AND three giftboxes using the new range of papers from Pink Paislee. Noodle boxes are cheap and easy to decorate up, to turn an ordinary gift into something special. These will make great gift holders for friends and family alike.

Christmas is coming

I can't believe that it is really only 6 weeks until Christmas now - the end of the year just seems to have sped away from me! We are well and truly in the Christmas swing of things and have plenty of Christmas supplies in store. If you haven't started your cards yet (like me!) - don't worry  - we have heaps of ideas and solutions for you, to help you get them done quickly!

We have a great range of Christmas stamps and some beautiful papers to choose from. There are more supplies arriving constantly so there is always something fresh or new to tempt you with. We also have some great gift ideas including, totes, storage options, 12 x 12 frames and a great range of mini books and albums.

Just arrived in store are some new 2009 Calendars. These Calendars are very economical and would make great gifts for friends, teachers and loved ones this Christmas.  If you need a kick start or some inspiration to get you started then we are also running a calendar class - the first one starts this Friday. (see class details below)

Guest Teacher - Cassandra Glass. There are just a couple of spots left in Cass's class this Saturday. Cass is a very talented and experienced scrapbooker who is kept busy working as a design team memeber for Kaisercraft And Scrapware. You can often find her work in Scrapbooking Memories and Creative Paper and now of course - here with us!

Cost: $16 for the class including the basic calendar - or you can upgrade to a tear off month by month version for an extra $3.50. (Note- you can use larger photos if desired)

Saturday 10am-12pm Creative Christmas Cards - Tina

This set of three Christmas cards will certainly stand out amongst your friends and family this festive season. You will learn a range of techniques including flocking, embossing, glittering, and paper piecing as well as innovative uses of ribbon. Once completed you will be armed with a host of ideas to get you started with your own cards this Christmas.

Saturday 1pm-3pm Circles of Fun - GUEST TEACHER CASSANDRA GLASS

Cass is a well known Australian Scrapbooker and teacher and she brings her wealth of experience and talent to this class designed especially for us. In this class Cass will guide you through creatively using patterned paper, to create circular background panels, as well as creating your own embellishments. There are only a couple of spots left so you will need to be quick to get a chance to spend some time and learn from one of Australia's best known scrappers Cost: $15

This Week at Stamp and Scrapbook Madness

There is plenty of new stock in-store to tempt you this week. We have been busy unpacking a great new range of clear stamps from Stampendous. There is something for everyone here with some of the most beautiful bird and butterfly stamps as well as some unique robots and dinosaurs. There are also some new cupcake stamps and some great birthday themed sets too.

 

Also brand new in the shop are some AMM Totes. These are a strictly limited supply so you will need to be quick. These totes are fantastic for carrying a huge amount of stuff with more pockets than you could ever imagine.

 

We have also had some new papers in including the very cute Nonsense range from We R Memory Keepers as well as some great diecut shaped papers from Crate Paper.

 

 

Sunday Session

Do not forget our Sunday Session on Sunday 16 November 10am-4pm. This day is like a mini retreat – filled with mini classes, give-aways, specials and of course some free crop time. The cost is $55pp and includes lunch and is not only great value but a great way to spend a day! Bookings are essential so get in quick!

 

This Week’s Classes

CHANGES TO SCHEDULE

There are a number of changes to the schedule.

Firstly the Christmas Card and Pail set has been replaced with a Calendar class. Unfortunately the Pails will not be here in time so we have designed a new class featuring a great calendar that would make a fantastic Christmas gift. I hope to have a sample ready for you by the end of the week.

Secondly the Saturday 6 December – Christmas All Wrapped Up class has been replaced with Scrapbooking Stitches from 10am-12pm

In this class we will make 2 bags as well as some cute tags that will make any gift look extra special. Get your Christmas Gift giving sorted with this fun class. Create two beautiful gift-bags ideal for giving filled with goodies to friends and family. They also make fabulous thankyou gifts for teachers! You will also make some great tags that you can use with the bags or keep for other gifts.

Scrapbooking With Ribbons 1pm-3pm
You will never believe how many different ways you can use ribbons with this imaginative layout. You will learn a range of different techniques that will show you that ribbon is for more than just bows!
