New in-store
We have had some new books and magazines arrive this week. If you are starting to think about Christmas Projects the latest Scrapbook Trends magazine -Celebrate the Holidays has arrived full of ideas for cards, decorations, décor and layouts. We also have in-store Becky Fleck’s book Page Maps. This is an excellent resource for scrapbookers – filled with sketches and layouts as well as a handy set of cards you can take with you to crops or when shopping to keep you on track.
We have had a great range of new ribbons arrive. A broad range of colours and styles including lace are now in stock plus a great range for Christmas. We have sourced a new supplier for these ribbons with very competitive prices which means these ribbons are excellent value for money.
We have also some more travel themed papers from Dove of the East arrive. These papers are quite different and feature patterns that echo China, Japan and Russia. There are some beautiful rub-ons that complement these ranges as well as some charms and tokens. There are further papers due to arrive in-stock in the next couple of weeks that will extend the range. You can view the entire range at http://www.doveoftheeast.com/
New Storage System
We now have a fabulous range of custom made storage solutions available for your papers and tools. These storage boxes are designed to hold a huge amount of papers and tools. The 12 x 12 box comes standard with 6 drawers – 4 deep drawers strong enough to hold the largest of paper stashes and two with removable and interchangeable compartments for tools and embellishments. However the combination of drawers is completely up to you. If you want all 6 drawers to be for paper only then that is up to you. The units can be decorated to suit your style and décor and come with a handy lock system to keep dust and children out or keep the drawers closed when moving. The units come in three different sizes – 12 x 12, A4 and a small baby box ideal for embellishments or dies and embossing folders.
Making memories – The Slice
Many of you will have seen advertisements for the Slice from Making Memories. This is a brand new portable die cutting system, similar to the Cricut that is due to arrive late October early November. The small lightweight unit can be recharged and easily taken with you. It is compact to store and will cut a wide range of images in sizes up to 4 inches, with no need for a computer. There are a wide range of additional font and image cartridges available to expand its use even further. The recommended retail price on the Slice is approximately $300. However, we have a special pre-order only price of $250. This price is available on advance purchases only and requires a non-refundable pre-order deposit of $20. If you would like to see the machine in action, have a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfubyLuekZE or pop in to the store to look at some of the promotional material. This is sure to be a popular item this Christmas so get in early to secure yours at a fantastic price.
